LOL....!!!!

The word ‘lol’ was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2011. Everyone know that LOL means "laugh out loud", but while you might consider LOL and OMG to be etymological artifacts from the mobile era (because we needed less words to send a message) or the internet age, the Oxford English Dictionary's typically meticulous word-sleuthing found examples of both acronyms from 1960 and 1917, respectively. However, LOL's use are now in every single person around the world, even in people that doesn't know english.

A real difficult word...

Did you know that...

enneacontakaienneagon is actually a word in the English language?

(And here I thought pronouncing supercalifragilisticexpialidocious was difficult?). In fact, the meaning of the word is just as bizarre as the word itself: it’s a shape with ninety-nine sides. Crazy right?

Shakespeare!

Did you know that William Shakespeare had a great influence on the English language?

William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright, and actor. Above all, he introduced thousand of words and phrases into the English language like:

All that glitters is not gold : From "The Merchant of Venice"

Break the ice : From "The Taming of the Shrew"

Love is blind : From "Merchant of Venice"
